Royal J. Grossman
Royal J. Grossman, Union Township, Meadville, passed away peacefully at his residence with his family by his side Thursday morning, Feb. 11, 2021. He was 94.
He was born June 10, 1926, in Slippery Rock, and was a son of the late Roy Benjamin and Florence (Bryson) Grossman.
On Jan. 19, 1949, he married the former Ella Mae Scott, who preceded him in death on Dec. 19, 2007.
Mr. Grossman was employed by the Steam Fitter's Union Local 11, from which he had retired.
He was a U.S. Army veteran, having dutifully served his country during World War II.He was a member of the Mumford Chapel and the American Legion Post 111.He was an avid golfer, having last golfed in November of 2020, and through his lifetime, he proudly achieved three holes-in-one.He is survived by his two sons, Jack Grossman and his wife, Freeda, of New Castle, and Ron Grossman and his wife, Carla, of Cochranton; a sister, Isabelle Watson and her husband, Pete, of Slippery Rock; four grandchildren, Benjamin Scott (Melissa) Grossman, Daniel Lawrence Peters, Ryan (Kim) Grossman and Chelcie (Najee) Easley; and two great-granddaughters, Ella Lee Grossman and Ava Mae Easley.He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife; a grandson, Ricky Peters; two brothers, Bob and Bill; and five sisters, Dorothy, Virginia, Evelyn, Mabel and Marge.GROSSMAN — Family and friends of Royal J.
