John H. Lefever
John H. Lefever, 93, of Jacksonville, Fla., formerly of Zelienople, passed away on Friday, Jan. 29, 2021, in Jacksonville.
Born Nov. 28, 1927, in Wayne Township, Pa., he was the son of the late Floyd H. and Nellie E. Savage Lefever.
John proudly served in the U.S. Navy during World War II.He was a lifelong funeral director, and former owner of the Donald D. Druschel Funeral Home in New Brighton, Pa.He was a member of the English Lutheran Church in Zelienople, the Harmony Masonic Lodge 429 F&AM, the Odd Fellows Lodge (IOOF), and the Beaver County, Allegheny County, PFDA and NFDA funeral directors' associations. He was also a former mayor of Zelienople, and served on the town council for several years.He is survived by his children, John H. Lefever Jr. (Nancy) of Jacksonville, Fla., Suzie Lefever of Friday Harbor, Wash., and Jeffrey A. Lefever (Sonya) of Jacksonville, Fla.In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Lois Ann Wolfe Lefever; one brother; and three sisters.LEFEVER — The family of John H. Lefever, who died Friday, Jan. 29, 2021, will receive friends from 7 to 9 p.m. Friday at Boylan Funeral Home, 324 E. Grandview Ave., Zelienople.A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday at the funeral home with the Rev.
