State Department of Human Services Secretary Teresa Miller announced that the accessibility enhancement will benefit the growing number of Pennsylvanians who need food assistance during a difficult economic challenge like the coronavirus pandemic.

Callers will be asked to provide the same information by phone as applications submitted online at www.compass.state.pa.us.

Enrollment in SNAP statewide has increased by 82,270 since February 2020 to an enrollment of more than 1.8 million, which is a 4.7% increase.
