Shirley A. Brannon
Shirley A. (Lieb) Brannon, 89, of Winfield Township, formerly of Natrona Heights, died Tuesday, Feb. 2, 2021, at Concordia Lutheran Home of Cabot. She had lived in Natrona Heights until moving out to Concordia in 2017.
Shirley was born Saturday, Nov. 14, 1931, in Pittsburgh, and was the son of the late George M. and Pearl V. Huch Lieb.
Shirley graduated from Westview High School, Class of 1950.
After graduation, she worked as a clerk for the Gulf Oil Co. in Pittsburgh for 10 years, retiring in 1960.
She was an active member of Faith Lutheran Church of Natrona Heights, and was a troop leader in the Girl Scouts. She also volunteered for Meals on Wheels, and at the concession stand for Sylvan Pool.
Shirley is survived by her husband of 63 years, J. Duane Brannon; her children, Jay D. (Kimberly) Brannon of Natrona Heights, and Sharon B. (Cecil) Criss of Denton, Md.; and three grandchildren, Matthew, Elizabeth and Angela Criss.
She was preceded in death by her parents; a grandchild, Nathanael Criss; a brother, Warren E. Lieb, who passed away in 2002; and her sister, Carol L. Mitzen, who passed away in 1970.
The family would especially like to thank Concordia Lutheran Ministries Personal Care and Good Samaritan Hospice for the special care and love that they gave to Shirley.
BRANNON — Family and friends of Shirley A. (Lieb) Brannon, who died Tuesday, Feb. 2, 2021, are invited from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Friday to the ROBERT PETERS FUNERAL HOME, 1521 Freeport Road, Natrona Heights.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday at Faith Lutheran Church, 1500 Broadview Blvd., Natrona Heights, with Barbara Thompson officiating. Everyone is asked to meet at the church.
Private burial will be held at Greenwood Memorial Park, Lower Burrell.
