Marlene Winters

Marlene J. Winters, 83, of Butler, passed away on Thursday, Jan. 28, 2021, at Butler Memorial Hospital.

Born in Euclid, Pa., on Oct. 14, 1937, she was the daughter of the late Harold E. Beachem and the late Muren J. Minich Beachem.

Marlene worked as an elementary school teacher for Butler Area School District for over 30 years. She was a lifetime member and valued volunteer at North Street Christian Church. Marlene enjoyed shopping, eating out, reading and spending time with family and friends.

Marlene is survived by her son, Grant (Cyndee) Winters of Mars; her daughter, Tracy Collins of Butler; six grandchildren; two great grandchildren; one sister, Carolyn Beatty of Butler and a number of nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Donald Winters, whom she married on Dec. 20, 1958, and who passed away on June 11, 2018; and one brother, Eugene Beachem.

Winters — Visitation with the family for Marlene J. Winters, who died Thursday, Jan. 28, 2021, will be held at 10:30 Saturday until the time of the memorial service at 11:30 a.m. at the North Street Christian Church, 220 West North St. Butler, with Pastor Jeff Miller of Harvest Bible Chapel, and Pastor Jake Klutinoty of North Street Christian Church, officiating.

Don and Marlene will be placed in the North Side Cemetery.

Memorials are suggested to Life Choices, 118 South Church St., Butler, PA 16001.

Arrangements are being handled by Thompson-Miller Funeral Home, 124 East North St., Butler.
