CHICORA — A Chicago woman accused of trying to fill fake prescriptions at multiple pharmacies throughout the county had the first of multiple preliminary hearings Tuesday.

Attending virtually from Butler County Prison, Keeyonna Clark, 26, waived her right to a preliminary hearing before District Judge Lewis Stoughton.

The case included two sets of charges, including forgery, obtaining a controlled substance through forgery and criminal attempt to procure drugs through forgery.

According to charging documents, Clark is accused of trying to fill one prescription for Promethazine-Codeine at Giant Eagle and Rite Aid pharmacies in Center Township.

Clark has pending similar charges in two other district courts in the county.

The most recent of those filings was issued Friday by Jackson Township Police, and it included two more sets of the same charges.

According to charging documents in that case, Clark is accused of attempting to fill two prescriptions, one for Promethazine-Codeine and a second for an Albuterol inhaler, at the Rite Aid in Jackson Township.

She will have a preliminary hearing for that case at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday before District Judge Wayne Seibel.

Clark's third set of charges were submitted first on Feb. 14 by Butler Township Police.

According to court documents, Clark allegedly tried to fill those prescriptions at six Butler Township pharmacies, including CVS, Sam's Club, Giant Eagle, Walgreens, Walmart and Rite Aid.

Clark has been charged with another six sets of the same charges related to these alleged attempts, and she has a preliminary hearing scheduled for 9 a.m. March 18 before District Judge Kevin O'Donnell.
