Elvina Gebhart

Elvina M. Spitznagel Gebhart, 88, of Middlesex Township, died on Friday, Jan. 22, 2021.

Born in Pittsburgh on April 21, 1932, and raised on Spring Hill, she was the daughter of the late William and Flora Frederick Spitznagel.

After raising her children, Elvina and Bob enjoyed traveling and bus trips throughout the United States. Her greatest joy in life was watching her children and grandchildren grow, being a part of their events and special occasions, and being a devoted grandma. She loved telling stories from growing up and life on Spring Hill, was an avid reader, a huge Steelers and Pirates fan, and loved watching classic movies.

Beloved wife of the late Robert L. Gebhart Sr., whom she married on June 28, 1952, and who died on Dec. 5, 2015. Loving mother of Robert L. (Linda) Gebhart Jr. of West Sunbury, Mary Lou (John) Shulik of Butler, and William M. (Margaret) Gebhart of Saxonburg. Sister of the late Arthur, Antonette, William, and Wallace Spitznagel. Dear grandmother of Robert (Michelle) Gebhart III, Timothy (Julia) Gebhart, Arlene Gebhart, Douglas (Emma) Gebhart, Michele Gebhart, Katelyn (Jacob) Graham, John Shulik, Daniel (Whitney) Gebhart, Teresa Gebhart, William Gebhart Jr., and the late Adam Gebhart. Also survived by eleven great-grandchildren, Luke, Audrey, Jacob, Charlotte, Hazel, Genevieve, Dylan, Logan, Ryder, Copeland, and Kylee.

Gebhart — Visitation, services, and burial will be held privately for Elvina M. Spitznagel Gebhart, who died Friday, Jan. 22, 2021.
