Man charged for allegedly kicking ex-girlfriend's door
A Canonsburg man has been charged after he allegedly kicked in the front door of his ex-girlfriend's apartment.
State police have charged Jordan D. Camp, 22, with two felonies, burglary and trespassing, as well as one misdemeanor count of stalking.Camp was released from Butler County Prison after posting $10,000 bail.According to court documents, state police responded to a call at 8:36 a.m. Friday, during which they interviewed the ex-girlfriend's roommates, who were home at the time of the alleged break-in.The documents said both women were awakened by a loud bang at 3:50 a.m. One of the roommates stayed in their room while the other entered the hallway to see what happened.According to the document, the roommate saw Camp leaving his ex-girlfriend's room.“She confronted Camp and Camp related to her that (his ex-girlfriend) told him to come over and that the front door was unlocked,” said the investigating officer in the affidavit. “(The roommate) related to Camp that that's impossible, because you need an electronic key card to unlock the door.”The documents said the roommate who confronted Camp then asked him to leave.Police said they found “one large boot/shoe print” on the door.Police said they also spoke to the ex-girlfriend by phone, during which the victim said Camp called her Thursday.“She advised him to leave her alone; she did not tell Camp to come to the apartment,” said the officer in the affidavit.Camp was arraigned Friday night, and his preliminary hearing is scheduled for March 3 before District Judge William O'Donnell.
