8 SV seniors vie for national scholarship
Eight Seneca Valley Senior High School seniors have the opportunity to win a national scholarship following their performance on the Preliminary SAT/National Merit Scholarship Qualifying Test.
Seniors David Choi, Zachary Garcia, Simren Jayaraman, Parker Logue, Ananya Rao, Avani Salunkhe, Anoop Savio and Dora White were named finalists in the 66th Annual National Merit Scholarship Program, representing eight of 15,000 students who will advance to the next level of the program.
The students now have the opportunity to earn a National Merit Scholarship and be named a Merit Scholar.
The merit scholarship program is organized by the National Merit Scholarship Corporation, a nonprofit estabilshed in 1955 to conduct the national merit program.
