Veronica Dobson

Veronica Marcella Dobson, 98, of Boyers, passed away Jan. 19, 2021.

Veronica was born Nov. 30, 1922, at home in Boyers. She was the daughter of the late Marcel P. Ferrere and Anna M. Fazekas Ferrere.

Veronica married Gale V. Dobson on May 17, 1947, at St. Alphonsus Catholic Church in Murrinsville, Pa.

Veronica was a lifelong member of St. Anthony Catholic Church in Forestville, Pa.

She was a devoted wife and mother, and worked for Burdicks Men’s Clothing Store in Grove City for many years.

Veronica is survived by her husband, Gale; her daughters, Cequenda Bruggeman of Butler, Roxanne Dobson of Boyers, and Vanessa Barnett (Richard Grabowski) of Butler; her grandsons, Barret Evans, Christian Bruggeman (Colleen Casey) of San Francisco, Calif., Zane Barnett of Butler, and Seth Barnett of Butler; and a great-grandson.

She is also survived by her sister, Florine Plavny of Slippery Rock; her brother, Marcel Ferrere (Donna) of Grove City; and a number of nieces and nephews.

Veronica was preceded in death by her parents; a daughter, Jocelyn Dobson; and her brothers, Alfred Ferrere and Regis Ferrere.

DOBSON — The family of Veronica Marcella Dobson, who died Tuesday, Jan. 19, 2021, will receive friends from 4 to 6 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 21, 2021, at Jamison-McKinley Funeral Home, 117 N. Main St., Harrisville.

A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Friday at St. Anthony Catholic Church, 232 Boyers Road, Forestville.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to support Butler Montessori School, 230 E. Jefferson St., Butler, PA 16001.
