At the Butler County Commissioners' meeting Wednesday, they:

- Approved a 10-year, $5.2 million loan at a 1.6% interest rate through the state Department of Transportation Infrastructure Bank to provide $2.2 million for the repair and replacement of various county bridges and the remainder for the county's obligation for the Gateway 228 project in Middlesex Township. The county's first payment will be made on June 1, 2022.

- Approved the appointment of Debbie Davenport as the Prospect representative to the county Federated Library System board of directors for a three-year term. Davenport replaces Sally Jansce.

- Entered into an agreement with the Southwestern Pennsylvania Corporation to administer the $2.2 million Hospitality Recovery grant. The SPC employs individuals with the required certifications to administer the grant.

Middlesex Township supervisors approved a couple of items Wednesday night, including:- Appointing Adam Hartwig, township manager, as the Middlesex delegate for the Butler County Tax Collection Committee- A lot line revision for two existing lots in the Middlesex Crossing development.
