Susan Latkey

Susan Lynn Latkey, 71, of Saxonburg, passed away Friday, Jan. 15, 2021, at the Butler Memorial Hospital.

Born Dec. 3, 1949 in Saxonburg, she was the daughter of Charles Corbett and June Irene (Kish) Corbett.

Susan earned her state cosmetology license in 1969. Susan operated her own family hair salon in Saxonburg, starting in the mid-1990s, and enjoyed the customers that became her friends. She was a member of St. Joseph R.C. Church in Cabot. She enjoyed cooking, reading, shopping and spending time with friends and family.

Surviving are her husband, George Latkey, whom she married June 16, 1973; her son, George G. (Amanda) Latkey of Grove City; her daughter, Valerie (Christopher) McGee of Evans City; two brothers, Charles (Carol) Corbett of Sarasota, Fla. and William (Kim) Stewart of Kerrville, Texas. She was the loving grandmother of Riley, Carter and Myla McGee, and Henry and Harper Latkey.

She is preceded in death by her parents.

Latkey — Friends of Susan Lynn Latkey, who died Friday, Jan. 15, 2021, will be received from 12:30 to 2 p.m. Wednesday, at Fox Funeral Home, Saxonburg.

Private services will follow with Fr. Matt McClain, officiating.

Interment will follow in Saxonburg Memorial Church Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to St. Jude Hospital.
