Man takes plea deal in domestic dispute
A western New York man accepted a plea deal this week in relation to a domestic dispute earlier this month. According to court documents, Tyler S. Vandebogart, 28, of Lewistown, N.Y., pleaded guilty to a third-degree misdemeanor disorderly conduct charge.
Vandebogart had been arrested Feb. 2 for his involvement in a domestic dispute at the Speedway convenience store on Lindsey Road in Jackson Township, according to charging documents.
Court documents showed the three initial charges against Vandebogart were all withdrawn. Those charges included second-degree misdemeanors of simple assault and resisting arrest as well as a summary harassment offense. The disorderly conduct charge was not included in the charging documents, but was added later.
According to Jackson Township police, the arresting officer was offered an opportunity to object to the deal, which he did not exercise.
According to court documents, Vandebogart received a $1,000 fine from the guilty conviction, along with about $275 in other court costs.
