Ronald Moyer

Ronald Edward Moyer, 60, of Harmony ran a long, hard race against cancer, passing away on Wednesday, Jan. 6, 2021, while under the care of UPMC Presbyterian Hospital.

Born March 13, 1960, in Butler, he was the son of Ronald Moyer and Carolyn Miller Moyer.

Ed was a volunteer fireman for the Harmony Fire District, Station 22.

He enjoyed both deer and bear hunting. He also loved driving a truck for Cranberry Supply and Butler Refrigerated Meats. He learned how to weld at Robinson Fans, and enjoyed welding and fabricating on the racecar.

Ed was extremely proud of his children, and loved spending time with his grandchildren. Everyone will miss his big bear hugs. Above all, he was a loving and supportive husband, father, grandfather, brother and uncle, who will be dearly missed.

He leaves behind to cherish his memory his wife of 40 years, Vicki L. Rubright Moyer, whom he married on Sept. 27, 1980; his parents, Ronald and Carolyn Moyer of Harmony; his children, Ryan (Ashley) Moyer of Portersville, Casey Moyer (Matthew Bessell) of Harmony, and Kara Moyer (Tyler Probst) of Raleigh, N.C.; his grandchildren, whom he loved with all of his heart, Zachary, Colby, Charlotte, Connor and Annabelle; his brothers, Jeff (Judy) Moyer of Harmony, and John (Rachel) Moyer of Ellwood City; his sister, Cheryl (Mike) Kopp of Harmony; and many nieces and nephews.

Ed was preceded in death by a baby brother.

MOYER — Friends of Ronald Edward Moyer, who died Wednesday, Jan. 6, 2021, will be received from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday at Boylan Funeral Home, 324 E. Grandview Ave., Zelienople.

Following the visitation, a graveside service will be held at 3 p.m. Saturday at Zion Lutheran Church Cemetery, 557 Perry Highway, Harmony.
