Peter Botsis
Peter George Botsis, 79, of Butler passed away Wednesday, Jan. 6, 2021, at Sunnyview Nursing and Rehabilitation Center.
He was born April 17, 1941, in Wilkes-Barre, and was the son of the late George P. and Sylvia (Pikoulas) Botsis.
Peter belonged to St. Peter's Anglican Church, where he had served as an usher.
He was a veteran of the U.S. Army.He retired as a lieutenant from the Butler City Police in 1994. After retirement, he worked at the Butler County Courthouse as a tip staff, for 15 years. He was a member of the Fraternal Order of Police. He was an avid sports fan, loved every team of Pittsburgh, golfing, running, bowling and NASCAR.Surviving are his four daughters, Kim (Wayne) Anthony of Butler, Robin (Barry) Hile of Fenelton, Megan (Tony) Grenek of North Hills, and Melissa McGraw of Butler; eight grandchildren, Chris (Lora), Justin, Lars, Kendra, Brenna, Marley, Trey and Reed; two great-grandchildren, Evelyn and Henry; two sisters, Harriet (Joseph) Herring of Butler and Anne (George) Diener of Jamestown, Ohio; and a number of nieces, nephews and cousins.In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a granddaughter, Marina McGrawand; and a brother, Allan Botsis.BOTSIS — Friends of Peter George Botsis, who died Wednesday, Jan. 6, 2021, will be received from 1 to 4 p.m. Sunday at Young Funeral Home, 127 W.
