Cherry Pie Hike called off for 2021
BRADY TWP — This year’s Cherry Pie Hike has been canceled due to COVID restrictions. The annual event normally attracts several hundred hikers to the Jennings Environmental Education Center near Slippery Rock.
The event sponsors — Washington’s Trail 1753, the Butler Chapter of the North Country Trail Association, Historic Harmony, the Butler County Tourism and Convention Bureau, North Country Brewing, and the Jennings Environmental Education Center — plan to again have this program of hiking, historic reenactment, and cherry pie in February 2022.
“The Jennings Environmental Education Center is open for family hiking and self-guided tours,” said center manager Wil Taylor, “However all in-person events have been canceled for now.”
