Shirley Dunn

Shirley LaRue Dunn, 85, of Grove City, formerly of Hooker, passed away on Tuesday, Jan. 5, 2021, at Orchard Manor.

Shirley was born on Nov. 6, 1935, in Butler, and was a daughter of the late John Klepper and the late Elizabeth (Johnson) Klepper.

Shirley was a member of Concord Presbyterian Church.

She loved farming and raising sheep. She also enjoyed quilting and working with the youth of the Butler County 4-H clubs.

Shirley is survived by one daughter, Robin (William) Kreutz of Slippery Rock; two sons, Robert (Cindy) Dunn of Hooker, and Richard (Christen) Dunn of New Castle; one daughter-in-law, Ruth Ann Dunn; nine grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.

She is also survived by five sisters, Joan Gumpp, Rita Curven, Karen Gacicia, Dorothy Chutz and Phyllis Vail; one brother, David Klepper; and a number of nieces and nephews.

Shirley was preceded in death by her husband, Robert Dunn; two sons, Donald and John; and one sister, Maxine Kaufman.

DUNN — Private visitation and services for Shirley LaRue Dunn, who died Tuesday, Jan. 5, 2021, will be held at William F. Young Funeral Home in West Sunbury, with the Rev. Bob Edmundson of Concord Presbyterian Church officiating.

A celebration of life will be held at a later date.

Burial will be in Concord Cemetery.
