Robert L. Lambert, 72, of Mars passed away unexpectedly on Sunday morning, Jan. 3, 2021, at UPMC Passavant Hospital in McCandless Township.

Born Feb. 21, 1948, in Mars, he was the son of the late Roy and Florence Brandt Lambert.

He had served in the U.S. Army, from 1968 until 1971, during the Vietnam War.Bob was a chemical mixer at MSA/BASF in Callery for 37 years before retiring in 2010.He was very active in Mars Area Recreational Sports, serving as president and a coach for many years.He also had served as the commissioner of Butler County Youth Football. Bob was also active in local racing, fielding a car at Lernerville Speedway, and supporting his son, grandsons' and granddaughter's efforts.He was also a member of the Mars Rod & Gun Club, as well as West View Sportsmen's Club.Bob was a life member of Mars VFD, now Adams Area Fire District.Surviving are his wife, Diana Hardt Lambert, whom he married on Dec. 21, 1968; a brother, William (Diane) Lambert of Mars; a sister, Diane (John) Ciafre of Renfrew; a daughter, Laurie Lambert (Chris Newcamp) of Mars; a son, Robert “Butch” (Robyn) of Valencia; his grandchildren, Brandon, Christopher, Melissa, Chase, Cameron and Madison; his great-grandchildren, Myleigh and Ellie; his nieces and nephews; his mother-in-law, Annette Hardt of Gibsonia; and a brother-in-law, Kenneth Hardt of Prospect.He was preceded in death by a brother, Doug Lambert.LAMBERT — Arrangements for Robert L.
