Priscilla Miller
Priscilla E. (Szalay) Miller, 94, from Valencia passed away on Jan. 2, 2021.
Born March 31, 1926, in Lloydell, Pa., she was married to Paul J. Miller on June 18, 1955, and remained his beloved wife for 55 years, until his passing in 2010.
She leaves behind her family to cherish her memory and good humor her sons, David A. (Kathy) of Adams Township, Michael J. (Cathy) of Jefferson Township, and Paul A. (Lisa) of Clay Township; and her grandchildren, Noah, Keating, Szalay, Davis, Anthony (Taylor), Evan and Chad (Wandy).
Priscilla was an extraordinary baker, who pleased many people over the years with her delicious chocolate chip cookies, pies and lady locks.
A loyal friend, she managed to keep in contact with childhood friends from “back home” as well as neighbors and friends from the local bowling league.
She possessed an amazing memory (until recently) for everyone’s birthdays and any gifts she received, and always let people know she appreciated their kindness. Most of all, she delighted in being a grandma, and never missed an opportunity to dote on her grandkids.
In addition to her husband, Priscilla was preceded in death by her sisters, Ethel, Mary and Vilma.
MILLER — A Mass of Christian burial for Priscilla E. (Szalay) Miller, who died Saturday, Jan. 2, 2021, will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Friday at Holy Sepulcher Church.
Interment will follow in Holy Savior Catholic Cemetery.
Arrangements are entrusted to Schellhaas Funeral Home & Cremation Services, Bakerstown.
