Kathryn Kirkwood
Kathryn M. Kirkwood, 71, of Butler passed away Friday, Jan. 1, 2021, at Sunnyview Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Butler.
Born Oct. 3, 1949, in Forest City, Iowa, she was the daughter of the late Juel Boman and Kathryn Erickson Boman.
She was a 1968 graduate of Forest City High School in Iowa, and attended the University of Northern Iowa.Kathryn was a member of the Calvary Baptist Church in Forest City, Iowa, before moving to Butler. She was a member of the First Baptist Church in Butler, and was the church secretary during her husband's tenure as the pastor.She was employed at Friedman's Market in Butler for many years.Surviving are a son, Joel M. Kirkwood of Butler; one sister, Barbara Johnson of Forest City, Iowa; three nephews, Brandon, Brian and Tim Rollefson; two grandnieces, Shelby Frederick and Jade Rollefson; and one grandnephew, Christian Rollefson.She was preceded in death by her parents; her first son, Jared Kirkwood; and her stepmother, Rozella Chryst Boman.KIRKWOOD — Family and friends of Kathryn M. Kirkwood, who died Friday, Jan. 1, 2021, will be received from 5 to 7 p.m. Thursday at Thompson-Miller Funeral Home, 124 E.
