Domenic Trombatt Sr.

Domenic A. Trombatt Sr., 93, of Butler passed away Monday, Jan. 4, 2021, at his residence.

Born March 27, 1927, in Argentine, Pa., he was a son of the late David Sr. and Rose Nastasi Trombatt.

He was a member of St. Michael the Archangel Roman Catholic Church.

Dom was a graduate of Butler High School Class of 1945.

A World War II-era veteran, he was drafted into the U.S. Army Air Corps in December 1945, and served in the Philippine Islands.He was employed as a welder at Pullman Standard, until it closed. He was then employed as a custodian for the County of Butler. Following retirement, he worked for the Butler County Bureau of Elections.He was a member of the Italian Society of Butler, the Moose Club, American Legion Post 117 and South Butler Fire Hall.He was one of the founders of the South Butler Baseball League. He coached baseball at South Butler and at Pullman Park.Dom was an avid golfer. He loved hunting and fishing, especially with his grandchildren, and he enjoyed watching his grandkids play sports.He is survived by three sons, Dominic A. Trombatt Jr. and his wife, Sharon, of Butler, David J. Trombatt of Butler, and Daniel W. Trombatt and his wife, Kelly, of Butler; three daughters, Catherine E. Frye and her husband, Randy, of Clearwater, Fla., Diane M. Walker and her husband, Rod, of Butler, and Linda L. Bowser and her husband, Richard, of Butler; five sisters, Tina Cole of Akron, Ohio, Lena Buzanoski of Butler, Joan Leyland of Butler, Mary Ann Kastelic of Butler, and Phyllis Hull and her husband, Stanley, of Butler; 12 grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.He was preceded in death by his wife, Barbara Lesnik Trombatt, whom he married April 27, 1957, and who passed away April 14, 2013; one brother, David “Junior” Trombatt; one daughter-in-law, Lenita Trombatt; one son-in-law, Steven Laurent; and two granddaughters, Rhiannon and Maggie Trombatt.TROMBATT — Friends of Domenic A. Trombatt Sr., who died Monday, Jan. 4, 2021, will be received from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday in Martin Funeral Home, 429 Center Ave., Butler.A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Thursday at St. Michael the Archangel Roman Catholic Church, 432 Center Ave., Butler.Burial will take place in St. Michael's Cemetery.Masks must be worn, and social distancing will be maintained at the funeral home, church and cemetery.Please visit www.martinfh.net.
