Shirley Mae Faull
Shirley Mae Faull of Grove City is now at peace in the arms of her Savior, Jesus. She was lovingly cared for at Orchard Manor in Grove City. She fought a 12-year battle with Alzheimer’s until she passed peacefully on Dec. 31, 2020. She was 84 years old.
Shirley was born April 19, 1936, in Connoquenessing Township, and was the daughter of the late Forrest Earl and Ella-Mae Kaltenbaugh.
She graduated from Butler High School in 1954.
Shirley’s faith was very important to her. She was an active member of Galilean Baptist Church in Grove City. Her passion was playing her organ. She served as church organist for 48 years. Over the years, she shared her passion for music with many young people, teaching and spending countless hours, helping them develop their love of music. Shirley loved music!
Shirley also had a passion for gardening. Her gardens were healthy and beautiful. They produced gallons of pizza sauce for her famous homemade pizza. The church youth group enjoyed her pizza every New Year’s Eve. Pizza was also the favorite request for all her recitals.
Shirley is survived by her loving and patient husband of almost 65 years, Ronald Faull of Grove City; her three daughters and their husbands, Cree and Dallas Buchanan of Barkeyville, Kim and Ted Whitten of Raymond, N.H., and Lori and Jim Thompson of Grove City; her beloved son, “Butchy” and his wife, Doug, and Jenny Faull of Grove City; and her sisters, Debbie McCommons, Faye Sherrow, Joanne Detsch and Fonda Jones.
Shirley was also blessed with 15 grandchildren and 28 great-grandchildren.
Shirley was preceded in death by her parents; one sister, Erma Desmond; and two brothers, Jack and Ronald Kaltenbaugh.
Shirley spent a lifetime of working hard and serving others. She will be greatly missed by her loving family.
