Harry J. Shuler
Harry J. “Skip” Shuler, 96, of Butler passed away Monday, Dec. 28, 2020, at Butler Memorial Hospital.
Born Nov. 3, 1924, in Butler, he was a son of the late Harry J. Shuler Sr. and Margaret (Turner) Shuler.
He was retired from the U.S. Post Office as a rural mail carrier.
Skip was a member of St. Andrew Roman Catholic Church in Butler.
He was a fourth degree Knights of Columbus. He was also a member of the Butler Elks, Slovak Club, the VFW and National Association of Letter Carriers.
He was a World War II veteran of the U.S. Army.Surviving is his wife, Augustine (Maddalena) Shuler. They were married Feb. 14, 1953.He is also survived by his daughter, Christine (Scott) Schiebel of Tampa, Fla.; three sons, Harry Shuler III of Hanover, Pa., Michael (Susan) Shuler Sr., with whom he made his home in Slippery Rock, and Gregory (Alison) Shuler of Camp Hill, Pa.; seven grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; his sister, E. Jane Beck of Sheffield Lake, Ohio; a sister-in-law, Norma Wimer; and numerous nieces and nephews.In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his son, Peter; his grandson, Paul Jenkins; his sisters, Agnes Osche, Mary Rasely and Anne Cummings; and his brothers, John and Norman Shuler.SHULER — A graveside service for Harry J. “Skip” Shuler, who died Monday, Dec. 28, 2020, will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday at Calvary Cemetery in Butler.Arrangements are being completed by Geibel Funeral Home, 201 E.
