Claude Leon Neat

Claude Leon Neat, 90, of Cranberry Township, formerly of Zelienople and Ross Township passed away Tuesday afternoon, Dec. 29, 2020, at UPMC Cranberry Place.

Born Jan. 2, 1930, in Frostburg, Md., he was the son of the late Claude and Ida Weir Neat.

Claude had been a steelworker for LTV Steel, Pittsburgh Works. He then worked as a security guard for the Butler Auto Auction.

He was a member of Mars Alliance Church, now LifePointe Alliance Church, in Mars.

Active in Masonic Orders, he was a Past Master of Corinthian Lodge F&AM.Surviving are two daughters, Ruth Anglum of Middlesex Township, and Carol Wokutch of Cranberry Township; six grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren; and a sister, Norma Scarpelli of Frostburg, Md.He was preceded in death by his wife, Helen Louise Ketterman Neat, whom he married on Dec. 10, 1949, and who died on Jan. 7, 2011.NEAT — Friends and family of Claude Leon Neat, who died Tuesday, Dec. 29, 2020, will be invited from 10 a.m. until noon Thursday, Dec. 31, 2020, to McDonald-Aeberli Funeral Home, 238 Crowe Ave., Mars, where the funeral service will follow at noon.Entombment will follow in the Mausoleum at Pinewood Memorial Park in Cranberry Township.Memorial contributions may be made to the Mars VFW Post 7505, 331 Mars Valencia Road, Mars, PA 16046.Directions and condolences are available at www.mcdonald-aeberli.com.
