Eva John

Eva A. John, 75, of Harmony, passed away on Friday, Dec. 25, 2020, in the comfort of her home, in the presence of her family.

Born Nov. 19, 1945, in Jackson Township, she was the daughter of the late Arthur I. Stewart and Helen M. Dambach Stewart.

Eva was a member of the Harmony-Zelienople United Methodist Church. She retired from her job at Host Marriott Services on the Turnpike after more than 20 years of service. After retiring, Eva worked for Baldinger’s Candy in Zelienople. She belonged to the Women of the Moose, the female auxiliary of the Loyal Order of Moose. In her free time, she was an avid bingo player and enjoyed traveling. Above all, Eva was a loving mother, grandmother, sister, aunt and friend who will be dearly missed and fondly remembered.

She leaves behind to cherish her memory her children, Jo Ann Stadtfeld (Scott) of Cranberry Township, Paula Guido (John) of Boynton Beach, Fla., James John (Ann) of Harmony, and Nancy Grech (Raymond) of Wexford; her grandchildren, John Guido IV, Marisa, Kate and Abigail Guido, Shane and Shaunna Stadtfeld, and Amelia Grech; her brothers, Arthur I. Stewart of Freedom, Timothy Stewart of Portersville, and Matthew Stewart of New Kensington; her sisters, Catherine Finley of Mercer, H. Arlene Farinelli of Connoquenessing Township, and Harriett Kennedy in Winter Haven, Fla., and numerous nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, Eva was preceded in death by her companion, Eugene M. John, who passed away on March 25, 2020; her brother, Harry Wesley Stewart Sr.; and her sisters, Rebecca Verba and Darla Middleton.

John — Friends of Eva A. John, who died Friday, Dec. 25, 2020, will be received from 2 to 4 p.m. and 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday, at Boylan Funeral Home, 324 E. Grandview Ave., Zelienople.

A funeral ceremony will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday at the funeral home.

Eva will be laid to rest at Grace Church Cemetery in Harmony.
