Carmella I. Kuminkoski
Carmella I. “Malena” Kuminkoski, 92, of Butler passed away Tuesday, Dec. 15, 2020, at Concordia Lutheran Ministries in Cabot.
Born April 4, 1928, in East Brady, she was the daughter of the late Antonio and Paulina (Conti) Albini.
Carmella was a member of St. Paul Roman Catholic Church in Butler.
She was a graduate of East Brady High School.
Carmella enjoyed farming with her husband, Benjamin, and especially raising her chickens and selling eggs locally to friends and family.
She loved cooking, especially Italian dishes. She also enjoyed baking.
She took many trips to California to visit her son, Tony, and grandchildren. Above all, she loved spending time with her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She was an animal lover.Surviving are four daughters and three sons, Gloria Schwartz of Saxonburg, Ben Kuminkoski of Butler, Don Kuminkoski of Butler, Debra Kuminkoski of Butler, Master Sgt. Anthony Kuminkoski (retired U.S. Army) and Calandra L. Charging Eagle of Albuquerque, N.M., Valerie Fennell of Butler, and Mary Senge and her husband, Eric, of Butler; 13 grandchildren, Angela, Nicole, Chris, Carrie, Eric, Traci, Britny, Tony, Ashley, Korrey, Johnathon and Emily; 13 great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband of 64 years, Benjamin T. Kuminkoski, whom she married on June 21, 1952, and who passed away on Oct. 25, 2016; a granddaughter, Gabrielle Anthony; three sisters, Modesta DiGiammarino, Jenny Galano and Lena Anthony; and three brothers, Lou Albini, Umberto Albini and Umbert Albini.KUMINKOSKI — There will be no public viewing for Carmella I. “Malena” Kuminkoski, who died Tuesday, Dec. 15, 2020.Family and friends are invited to a Mass of Christian burial to be celebrated at 1 p.m. Tuesday at St. Paul Roman Catholic Church, 128 N. McKean St., Butler.Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery, Butler.Due to COVID-19 state guidelines, visitors are required to supply and wear a facial mask and adhere to social distancing. Groups are limited to 10 people inside.Thompson-Miller Funeral Home, Butler, is assisting the family with their arrangements.In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in memory of Carmella to St. Paul Roman Catholic Church, 128 N.
