Barbara Chvala

Barbara Jean Chvala, 57, of Muddy Creek Township passed away on Tuesday, Dec. 15, 2020, while under the care of UPMC Presbyterian Hospital.

Born Dec. 21, 1962, in Ellwood City, she was the daughter of the late Pete G. Guillard and Iva J. “Toots” Boak Guillard.

Barb earned her beautician and cosmetology license from New Castle Beauty School. She also worked as a certified medical assistant at Passavant Retirement Community.

She leaves behind to cherish her memory her husband, Brian David Chvala; her children, Ashley Ayres and Chad Wimer; her grandchildren, Connor Wimer and Kaden Ayres; and her brother, Pete G. Guillard II and his wife, Andrea.

She also leaves behind her brother-in-law, Douglas Chvala, Laurie Kelly Guillard; a nephew; and several aunts, uncles and cousins.

CHVALA — Friends of Barbara Jean Chvala, who died Tuesday, Dec. 15, 2020, will be received from noon until the time of the funeral ceremony at 2 p.m. Saturday at Boylan Funeral Home, 324 E. Grandview Ave., Zelienople, with the Rev. Dana Opp officiating.

She will be laid to rest at Portersville Presbyterian Church Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made in her honor to the funeral home to help the family offset funeral costs.
