Ronald Marsico Sr.
Ronald A. Marsico Sr., 71, of Butler passed away Sunday, Dec. 13, 2020, at his residence.
Born May 31, 1949, in Pittsburgh, he was the son of the late Alfred and Evelyn (Wagner) Marsico.
Ronald was a graduate of Fox Chapel High School.
He was a member of Nixon United Methodist Church in Butler.
Ronald was a Vietnam War veteran of the U.S. Marine Corps, having been in the 3rd Battalion, Platoon 3009.He was employed in the printing and bindery industry for over 32 years, last being with Colonial Press, after which he became a bus driver for Monarch and Roenigk for six years, before his retirement.Ronald was a member of Penn Township Volunteer Fire Department, having served as the treasurer and assistant chief, Penn Glade Lions Club, past commander of the American Legion Post 117, F&AM of Lodge 1 in Huntsville, Ala., Cahaba Shrine in Huntsville, Ala., DAV, and was the past president of Tri-State Country Music Association.One of Ronald's hobbies was playing the drums in a number of bands, including the “Country Clowns.” He also enjoyed ceramics, camping and most of all, spending time with his wife, children and grandchildren.Surviving are his loving wife of 52 years, Diane (Shivers) Marsico, whom he married Nov. 25, 1968; two daughters and a son, Darlene Varljen and her husband, Chuck, of Durham, N.C., Leslie Marsico of Butler, and Ronald A. Marsico Jr. and his wife, Erika, of Herman; four grandchildren, Amber, Ashley, Kody and Riley; one great-grandchild, Alexis; one sister, Barbara Marsico of Cheswick; and several nieces and nephews.MARSICO — There will be no public viewing for Ronald A.
