Ada Book
Ada Lorraine Fry Smith Book went home to be with the Lord on Tuesday, Dec. 15, 2020.
Ada was born Feb. 17, 1931, in Spaces Corners, Armstrong County, to her parents, the late Denver and Greta Fry.
Ada graduated from Kittanning High School in 1949, where she was usually known as Lorraine Fry.
Ada was a longtime member of West Unity Church, where she played the piano for almost 28 years, and was so faithful in attending.
She also enjoyed attending the West Sunbury Senior Center, where she had many friends.
Ada is survived by her three sons, R. Stanley Smith (Caroline) of Franklin, Kenneth L. Smith (Penny) of Cranberry, Pa., and Boyd D. Smith (Cindy) of Harrisville.
Also surviving are three stepchildren, Paula Good (Terry) of Portersville, Mart Book (Ruth) of Springfield, Ohio, and Mitch Book (Brenda) of Winona Lake, Ind.
Altogether she had 12 grandchildren; five stepgrandchildren; 15 great- grandchildren; 13 stepgreat-grandchildren; and two stepgreat-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her first husband, Burton Dean Smith, who was killed in a mine accident on Jan. 10, 1986. She later married Paul Book of Slippery Rock, on Nov. 27, 1993. Paul passed away in 2014.
She was also preceded in death by four brothers; one sister; and one grandson.
BOOK — Funeral viewing for Ada Lorraine Fry Smith Book, who died Tuesday, Dec. 15, 2020, will be held from 4 to 7 p.m. Thursday at Cunningham Funeral Home, 306 Bessemer Ave., Grove City.
Additional visitation will be held from 10 to 11 a.m. Friday with funeral services to follow at 11 a.m. at West Unity Community Church, 400 Unity Road, Harrisville.
Ada will be buried in the West Freedom Cemetery in Clarion County.
