William Roudybush Sr.

William J. “Jim” Roudybush Sr., 79, of Butler passed away Saturday morning, Dec. 12, 2020, at the Butler Memorial Hospital of natural causes.

Born Sept. 29, 1941, in Butler, he was a son of the late Arnold J. Roudybush and Margaret E. (Wyant) Roudybush.

Jim was a graduate of Butler High School and had worked for Pullman Standard until the plant closed and retired from the AK Steel Plant. He was a member of St. Andrew Roman Catholic Church and also the Butler Area Street Machines for many years. He enjoyed hunting with the guys, his '88 Mustang, going to car shows and gardening with his wife. He loved his family, grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

A veteran of the Vietnam War, Jim served with the United States Army.He is survived by the love of his life, his wife of 57 years, Carole (Campsie) Roudybush, whom he married Aug. 24, 1963; his children, Jim (Whitney) Roudybush, Michael (Michelle) Roudybush and Tammy (Jeff Wiles) Roudybush, all of Butler; his grandchildren, Meaghan (Chad) Rettig, James (Genny English) Roudybush, Tyler, Austin, Evan and MacKenna Roudybush; his great-grandchildren, Cadence, Easton, Bryson and Ryker Rettig; numerous grand and great-grand dogs.Roudybush — Private burial for William J. “Jim” Roudybush Sr., who died Saturday Dec. 12, 2020, will be in Butler County Memorial Park.Arrangements are under the direction of Geibel Funeral Home, 201 East Cunningham St., Butler.In lieu of flowers, please make donations in his name to St. Wendelin School, 211 St Wendelin Road Butler, PA 16002.For more information or to leave an online condolence, please visit www.geibelfuneralhome.com.
