Harriet Godfrey

Harriet Irene Godfrey, 98, passed away at Orchard Manor in Grove City on Wednesday, Dec. 9, 2020.

She was born on Dec. 21, 1921, to John Coulter and Myrtle Cleo Hilliard Reedy.

Irene was a woman of faith, who valued God and her family above all.

She retired from the custodial department at Slippery Rock University.

Left behind are a son, Robert “Butch” Godfrey and his wife, Sally; a daughter, Nancy “Sis” Warcup and her husband, Keith; one grandson, Brian Warcup of New Jersey; one granddaughter, Tami Grossman; one great-grandson, Kevin Christy Jr.; and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, four brothers and four sisters.

GODFREY — The family of Harriet Irene Godfrey, who died Wednesday, Dec. 9, 2020, will receive friends from 12:30 until 2 p.m. Sunday at Smith Funeral Home, 421 New Castle St., Slippery Rock.

Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home with the Rev. Keith McIlwain presiding.

COVID-19 guidelines will be implemented.

Interment will be in Rosewood Cemetery in Ridgeville, Pa.
