Todd E. Slater
Todd E. “The Mayor” Slater, 59, of North Washington passed away Sunday, Dec. 6, 2020, following extended illnesses from juvenile diabetes since age 12.
Todd was born on Nov. 5, 1961, in Butler. He was the son of the late James R. Slater Jr. and late Joyce E. Gnade Slater.
He was a life member of the North Washington Volunteer Fire Department, and a member of the North Washington Presbyterian Church.
He was a very active social member of the volunteer fire department, and the former Flames and Flickers Drill Team.
In the early 1990s, he was a transplant recipient of kidneys and a pancreas.
Todd is survived by one sister, Taryn D. (Dan) Hines of Golden, Colo.; two brothers, Troy D. (Denise) Slater of Butler, and Trent D. (Paula) Slater of Butler; and numerous nieces and nephews.
SLATER — Services and burial were private for Todd E. “The Mayor” Slater, who died Sunday, Dec. 6, 2020.
Burial was in North Washington Union Cemetery.
A memorial in Todd’s memory will be held at a future date at the North Washington Social Hall.
