Albert Morrison
Albert D. “Butch” Morrison, 70, of Middlesex Township passed away Sunday afternoon, Dec. 6, 2020, at UPMC Passavant Hospital in McCandless Township.
Born Feb. 22, 1950, in New Castle, he was the son of the late Frank and Marianne Lange Morrison Jr.
He had served in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam War, and was a member of Mars VFW Post 7505.Butch was a school bus driver for Monarch Transportation. He also had owned and operated Morrison's Market in Middlesex, for 28 years, before its closing in 2001.He was a member of Glade Run Presbyterian Church, and was a former member of John E. Mair Lodge 729 F&AM, and the Syria Shrine and Consistory.Surviving are a daughter, Jennifer Thomas (Bill) of Valencia; two grandchildren, Lucas and Madison; two sisters, Shirley Garver and Karin Callithen (Harry), both of Valencia; two nieces, Michelle Sleigher (Herb) and Heather Kennihan (Jerry); and a nephew, Harry Callithen.He was preceded in death by a son, David Albert Morrison; and a niece, Christy Spence.MORRISON — A private family viewing and service will be held for Albert D. “Butch” Morrison, who died Sunday, Dec. 6, 2020.Burial will be in West Union Cemetery, Pine Township.Arrangements are under the direction of McDonald-Aeberli Funeral Home, 238 Crowe Ave., Mars.Memorials may be made to Mars VFW Post 7505, 331 Mars-Valencia Road, Mars, PA 16046.Condolences are available at www.mcdonald-aeberli.com.
