Salvadore DiMaria
Salvador James “Sal” DiMaria, 75, of Butler and Sebring, Fla. passed away of COVID-19 on Sunday, Nov. 22, 2020, in Florida.
Born March 8, 1945, in Olean, N.Y., he was a son of the late Vincent and Maxine DiMaria.
Sal was a retired investigator for the Office of Inspector General, Commonwealth of Pennsylvania.
A veteran of the U.S. Air Force, he served in Vietnam. He was an active member of the Butler County American Legion Riders.Sal loved family, motorcycles, boating and fishing. He was an accomplished jeweler and woodworker.He is survived by his wife, Randa Clark DiMaria, whom he married Oct. 11. 2008; one daughter, Josephine Ann “JoAnn” Baird and her husband, David, of Milford, Del.; two granddaughters, Elizabeth Baird and Abigail Baird, both of Milford, Del,; one brother, Vincent DiMaria III and his wife, Beth, of Jessup, Md.; and two sisters, Laura Sapovits and her husband, Thomas, of Columbia, Md., and Maria Ewing and her husband, Stephen, of Satellite Beach, Fla.In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his first wife, Ruth Slinker DiMaria; and a brother, Michael DiMaria.DiMaria — Services for Salvador James “Sal” DiMaria, who died Sunday, Nov. 22, 2020, were private, and entombment took place in St. Callistus Cemetery Mausoleum, Kane, Pa.The family requests memorial donations to the Butler County American Legion Riders, c/o William McNutt, American Legion Post 778, 150 Legion Memorial Lane, Butler, PA 16001 or to the Yellow Ribbon Girls, P.O.
