Walk Around Mars runs through May 10
Mars Planet Foundation’s virtual Walk Around Mars is being conducted through May 10.
The goal of the event is to collectively achieve enough miles (13,263) to make one lap around the surface of the planet Mars.
To achieve that task, each participant is asked to log 26.5 miles during the six-week event.
Throughout the fundraiser, participants are encouraged to share their support and pictures via social media using the hashtags #WalkAroundMars and #WalkRndMars, especially during three theme weeks: “Out of This World Costume Week” (April 5-9), “Where’s the Martian Week?” (April 19-23) and “Spring has Sprung Week” (May 3-7).
Prizes will be awarded for the most original photos.
