A-C Valley resuming in-person instruction Jan. 11

The Allegheny-Clarion Valley School District is returning all students to in-person instruction and resuming other programs on Jan. 11.

The school board voted to return to face-to-face instruction, reopen the Intermediate Unit 6 classrooms, transport the Clarion County Career Center students to the center and restart the extracurricular programs. Distance learning, which is being used now, will continue through the week of Jan. 4.

To assist students with the transition, Superintendent David McDeavitt said the week of Jan. 11 will be used for review, remediation and a re-entrance program to support students' needs.

In addition, the junior high school boys basketball team will practice Jan. 4. All boys in grades seven, eight, and nine wishing to play junior high basketball should complete the medical forms under the athletics tab on the www.acvsd.org website. All medical forms must be completed before participating.
