6 more cases reported at S. Butler
A letter to parents from the South Butler County School District superintendent on Monday reported six more cases of COVID-19.
While all students in the district are currently attending school via livestream or home study because of coronavirus concerns, Superintendent David Foley said he remains committed to fully informing the community of the situation at the district during the pandemic.
He said he is also obligated by the state departments of education and health to notify district parents of COVID-19 cases within the district.
Foley said two high school students, two middle school students, a student from the primary school and a high school staff member were reported as positive cases over the weekend.
Foley reported on Friday that one high school staff member has tested positive for COVID-19.
“I believe it is important that you be aware of the situation as it unfolds over time,” Foley said in the letter. “Please join me in wishing all of these community members well in their recovery.”
