Ralph F. Wagner

Ralph F. Wagner, 82, of Zelienople, formerly of Harvey's Lake, Pa., passed away Tuesday, Nov. 10, 2020, while under the care UPMC Passavant Hospital in McCandless Township.

Born Dec. 17, 1937, in Pittsburgh, Ralph was the son of the late Wilhelm and Katrina (Ludwig) Wagner.

Ralph graduated from Thiel College and was a member of the Delta Sigma Phi Fraternity.

He proudly served our country in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam War.

He retired from Conrail after many years of service. He worked for the Butler/Manheim Pittsburgh Auto Auction after retirement.

Ralph held many memberships over the years, including being a life member of the Millvale Sportsmen's Club, where he enjoyed trap shooting, the Cranberry Elks Lodge, and the Zelienople American Legion Post 474. He also belonged to the Teutonia Männerchor Club in Pittsburgh, where he served as the former president of the choir and eventually, president of the German Club.

In his free time, he enjoyed fishing, sailing with the Moraine State Park Sailing Club, and traveling throughout Germany, visiting relatives. He also enjoyed trains, and loved cheering on the Pittsburgh Steelers. Above all, Ralph was a loving husband, father, grandfather and brother, who will be dearly missed.

He leaves behind to cherish his memory his daughter, Rhea Marie Wagner Everett and her husband, Dr. Ed Everett; his granddaughter, Lexington Marie Elizabeth Everett; and his niece and nephew, Karen Stephens and her husband, Bobby Jr., and Brian Wagner.

In addition to his parents, Ralph was preceded in death by his loving wife, Marie Elizabeth Wagner, who passed away in 2010; and his brother, William K. Wagner.

WAGNER — Friends of Ralph F. Wagner, who died Tuesday, Nov. 10, 2020, will be received from 4 to 8 p.m. Friday, Nov. 20, 2020, at Boylan Funeral Home, 324 E. Grandview Ave., Zelienople. The Elks will perform a BPOE funeral service at 6 p.m.A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, Nov. 21, 2020, at the funeral home with Ralph's friend, Pastor Mike Robinson, officiating.Ralph will be laid to rest with full military honors at Pinewood Memorial Gardens in Cranberry Township.In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Ralph's honor to the Cranberry Elks Lodge, 20720 Route 19, Cranberry Township, PA 16066.Expressions of sympathy may be shared with the family at www.boylanfuneralservices.com.
