Margaret Hankey

Margaret “Peggy” Hankey, 85, of Butler passed away Monday, Oct. 26, 2020, at the Orchards of Saxonburg.

She was born April 5, 1935, in Butler, and was the daughter of the late Claude and Armella (Osche) Ramsey.

Peggy was a member of St. Paul Roman Catholic Church. She was also a member of the Butler Elks 170.

She enjoyed camping, bus trips, playing cards and most of all, spending time with her family and friends.

Surviving are her daughter, Christine Scott of Butler; two granddaughters and their husbands, Jennifer (Curtis) Jones of Slippery Rock, and Michelle (Adam) Walker of Butler; four great-grandchildren, Landon, Kenna and Trenton Jones, and Noah Walker; a sister-in-law, Judith Hankey of Butler; several nieces and nephews; and many extended family members.

She was preceded in death by her husband of 56 years, Kenneth Eugene Hankey, who passed away on Aug. 23, 2008; a daughter, Connie Hankey; a son-in-law, Bill Scott; two sisters; and three brothers.

HANKEY — Friends of Margaret “Peggy” Hankey, who died Monday, Oct. 26, 2020, will be received from 1 to 3 p.m. and from 5 p.m. until the time of the funeral service at 7 p.m. Thursday at Young Funeral Home, 127 W. Jefferson St., Butler, with Pastor Ben Oesterling officiating.

Private interment will be in Calvary Cemetery.
