Numerous calls of downed trees reported

Numerous trees are reported down around the county. This tree was around 3:30 p.m. Sunday across Route 8 just south of the Old Stone House.

Numerous calls to the Butler County Emergency Center are reporting trees down across roadways and some have reportedly pulled down wires.

The National Weather Service has issued a wind advisory until 7 p.m. for the county with strong wind gusts up to 55 miles per hour from the southwest.

First Energy is reporting 2,567 customers in Butler County are without power as 4 p.m. Sunday. Top outages are Prospect with 525 customers and Lancaster Township with 625.

Central Electric Cooperative is also reporting outages. Areas without power range from Washington Township with 43 customers to 38 in Worth Township.
