Jennings slates family programs
The Jennings Environmental Education Center, 2951 Prospect Road, has the following family programs scheduled.
Family Science Outside: Weather Wonders, at 9, 10 or 11 a.m. or 1 p.m. Nov. 10-12 and 17-19.
These weekly choose-your-own adventure style experiences are a perfect escape from screens, but also a real-world supplement to school studies (aligned with many area school curricula and state and national standards).
Families/cooperative groups/pods can register for their own time slot each week. Time slots are available for one family/cooperative group/pod at a time (max 12 people/group).
Nature Detectives: Critter CSI, at 9, 10 or 11 a.m., or 1 or 2 p.m. Nov. 22.
Individual family groups and small “pods” are invited to become “nature detectives.” Animals leave behind evidence because of their daily (or nightly) activities.
Registration is required by Nov. 20, and space is limited.
COVID-19 safety protocols will be in place for all Jennings’ programs.
For more information on COVID-19 protocol or to register, visit events.dcnr.pa.gov.
