The Zelienople Area Public Library’s 100th Birthday Puppet Show will be at 2 p.m. Oct. 17 at the Mussig Shelter in the Zelienople Park.

Adam Swartz Puppets will be presenting “Billy and the Story Machine,” a puppet show for children and adults.

A few picnic tables are available. Visitors are also invited to take their own blanket or camp chairs.

The puppet show is free to attend.

The library is also celebrating 100 years with the 100 Book Reading Challenge.

Participants receive a chance to win a $100 gift card for every 25 books read. Small prizes are offered for reading 50, 75 and 100 books. The challenge started in February and continues through Dec. 1.
