Cinda Benninger
Cinda Lou Benninger, 74, of Chicora, passed away early Thursday morning, Sept. 3, 2020, in Good Samaritan Hospice, Cabot.
Born Jan. 1, 1946 in Chicora, she was the daughter of the late Paul Francis and Helen Louise Rodgers Benninger.
She was a 1963 graduate of Karns City High School.
Cinda retired after working 44 years as a radiology supervisor at Butler Memorial Hospital.
She enjoyed spending time with Natalie and Amos, vacationing on the Gulf Coast of Florida, playing cards and eating out with friends. She was the founding member of the Goosetown Gang Picnic Committee.
She is survived by her brother, Paul (Rose) Benninger, and two sisters, Mary Ann Benninger and Dot (Jim) Turner, all of Chicora; and her nieces and nephews, Sherry Lehnard, Sheila Finer, Scott Case, Katie Mihalak, Tracey Fisher, Keith Fisher, Annie Fleming, Nathan Turner, Michael Turner and Elizabeth Werner.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her four sisters, Bernadette Benninger, Helen Benninger, Judy Fisher and Donna Barto; and her lifelong friend, Leon Jones.
Benniger — Cremation services for Cinda Lou Benninger, who died Thursday, Sept. 3, 2020, were entrusted to Edward L Raisley Funeral Home, 387 Main St., Prospect.
The family will hold a private inurnment at Hemphill Cemetery in Chicora.
