Project Progressing

Subcontractors with the Pennsylvania Department of Transportation work Wednesday on building a turning lane to eastbound New Castle Street at its intersection with Main Street, one of two projects underway in downtown Slippery Rock. The project was estimated to be finished by August, but complications have caused delays. The Slippery Rock Municipal Authority has also been working block by block as part of a project that includes replacing 4,100 feet of water main along Main Street. The project began in August and was estimated to take a few months.
