County lobby to get upgrade with CARES fund
Those visiting the Butler County Government Center behind the courthouse will notice an upgrade to the large lobby in the near future at a cost of nearly $200,000.
The county commissioners at their Wednesday meeting ratified three contracts that will modernize the lobby and allow for better use of the space using a grant received through the federal Coronavirus Aid, Relief and Economic Security (CARES) Act.
- Clark Contractors Inc. will replace the revolving entrance door at a cost of $72,383. The work is to be completed by Nov. 1.
- Schultheis Electric will provide electrical services to rewire the new security desk, which will be relocated in the lobby. The cost for that service is $75,622.
- Schultheis also will install touchless faucets and soap dispensers in the building at a cost of $48,797.
