Mars reunion raises over $2,000 for leukemia society
The premiere of the Reunion Special for Mars Area High School’s former “Room 133” anti-bullying series (2012-2014) raised more than $2,450 to benefit the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society.
The Reunion Special, which first aired Sept. 20 on Facebook and YouTube, was produced in honor of Katie Nelson (Class of 2014) who played the role of Cecelia in the “Room 133” series.
Nelson, a graduate of Westminster College and a student in the Case Western Reserve School of Dental Medicine’s pre-professional scholar program, was diagnosed with acute myeloid leukemia in August 2019 and died in April at age 23.

“Room 133” was introduced at Mars Area High School in 2012 to both entertain students and to deliver positive messages related to topics such as bullying.
The series was created by showrunner T.J. Pieffer (Class of 2014) as a spoof of the television sitcom “The Office.” It starred Pieffer as the main character David, along with a who’s who of Mars Class of 2014, teachers and staff.
