Monday — Brian L. Tristani, 47, of Sarver was charged with failing to return a floor polisher he leased at Kenmac Rentals on South Main Street last year.The defendant rented the polisher Sept. 11, 2019, according to court documents. Police said a business employee contacted them May 1 to report the theft of properly, In turn, police tried to contact Tristani, but to no avail.In all, documents said, the polisher and rental fees are valued at $1,680. Tristani is charged with a first-degree misdemeanor count of theft of leased property.10:26 p.m. Saturday — Bryce H. Dick, 19, of Prospect was caught with suspected marijuana and other drug contraband following a traffic stop at Penn and North Washington streets.In the trunk of the car that Dick was driving, according to court documents, police found two plastic baggies containing marijuana, two rubber containers with THC wax, two marijuana pipes, a digital scale and a marijuana grinder.Additionally, police found a baggie with suspected marijuana and two burned marijuana joints in the driver's side door compartment.Dick is charged with possession of a controlled substance and drug paraphernalia, driving with a suspended licensed, driving an unregistered vehicle and a stop-sign violation.Dick's passenger, Emily I. Selfridge, 21, of Butler, was also found with a baggie of suspected marijuana in her purse. She is charged with possession of a small amount of marijuana.
9:13 a.m. Sunday — Wendy Hile, 40, of Petrolia was arrested for suspicion of driving under the influence following a traffic stop near Leesburg Grove City and Veterans roads in Springfield. Police said they also learned that was wanted on a bench warrant out of Butler County.
