Business will employ more than 40 workers
A new 180,000-square-foot manufacturing and distribution center is expected to employ more than 40 workers when it opens in Summit Township next week.
The grand opening of RPP Products will begin at 11 a.m. Tuesday at the business' new home at 615 East Butler Road.
The company makes motor oil, hand sanitizer, windshield washer fluid and other products.
CEO Eric Zwigart will announce the donation of hundreds of gallons of hand sanitizer to the Butler Fire Department, Butler Police Department, Butler city building and homeless shelters such as Light of Life Rescue Mission in Pittsburgh.
RPP Products is a $150 million motor oil and lubricants company that pivoted operations in April to make desperately needed hand sanitizer because of the coronavirus pandemic.
RPP produces more than 30,000 gallons of hand sanitizer per day and continues to increase production capacity by tens of thousands of gallons per day, according to a news release from the company.
In addition to manufacturing, RPP Products distributes oil, antifreeze and car care products.
The company also has a plant in Akron, Ohio.
Lunch and tours of the facility will be included in the grand opening.
