JEFFERSON TWP — Concordia’s annual Oktoberfest, scheduled for Oct. 3 on the Concordia at Cabot campus, has been canceled due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

In its place, Concordia will still host the evening fireworks display for residents. The community is invited to the campus for a safe, drive-in viewing opportunity at 7:45 p.m. Oct. 3 in the parking lot behind the Lund Care Center, 134 Marwood Road.

The event is weather permitting, and guests are asked to arrive between 6:30 and 7:30 p.m. The fireworks begin promptly at 7:45 p.m. and will last about 15 minutes.

Cars will be parked in every other spot to allow spectators to get out of their vehicles and watch the show. Once the spots are full, the entrance will be closed to ensure proper social distancing is followed and safe distance from the fireworks display is maintained.
