Sunday — A black Lincoln MIG welder valued at $150 and a yellow DeWalt grinder valued at $50 were reported stolen from a shed on Christina Ellenberger's property on Cherry Road in Fairview Township at some point before 4 a.m.6 p.m. July 31 — A door on a Washington Street apartment in Parker, Armstrong County, was damaged. The door is valued at $209.6:29 a.m. Monday — Cars driven by Bradley J. Twiest, 57, of Slippery Rock and Ashley S. Rinehart, 40, of Ellwood City were involved in an accident on East Portersville Road (Route 488) in Muddy Creek Township. No injuries were reported.5:15 p.m. Saturday — Vehicles driven by Daniel L. Adams, 18, of Slippery Rock and Robin L. Stumpf, 33, of Butler were involved in an accident on Harmony Road in Slippery Rock Township. Stumpf suffered a suspected minor injury. The Slippery Rock Volunteer Fire Department and rescue team also responded.Aug. 25 — A Summit Township woman reported several unauthorized transactions totaling $1,315 were made on her Huntington Bank debit card.9:17 p.m. Aug. 6 — Talia Shufeldt, 29, of New Castle was arrested for allegedly driving under the influence after she was pulled over for speeding on Route 422 in Muddy Creek Township.Aug. 27 — A yellow sign saying “Slow Down Man” owned by Crystal and Mark Rodgers of Butler was reported stolen from a yard at 201 Cherokee Drive in Center Township.5:29 p.m. Monday — The driver of an unknown vehicle struck and damaged a fence at 439 Mahood Road in Clay Township and left without contacting the property owner.Aug. 28 — A car driven by Jessica L. Cole, 39, of Butler struck a mailbox at 2043 Kittanning Pike (Route 268) in Parker Township. No injuries were reported.4:25 a.m. Saturday — A car driven by Gary J. Seybert, 67, of Harrisville struck a tree that was blocking Beaver Dam Road, just south of Hall Road, in Clay Township. No injuries were reported. The car was towed from the scene.5:25 p.m. Aug. 24 — A box truck driven by Douglas J. Lindey, 65, of Butler and a car driven by Melissa A. MacMillan, 38, of Butler were involved in an accident on Eagle Mill Road at Rolling Valley Lane in Connoquenessing Township. The truck was backing up in the southbound lane and struck the car. No injuries were reported.7:45 p.m. Aug. 28 — The unknown driver of a white or silver GMC or Chevrolet pickup truck sideswiped a car driven by Abigail T. Hutzel, 20, of Fairview on I-79 south in Muddy Creek Township and fled the scene. The car was towed from the scene. No injuries were reported.9:30 p.m. Aug. 27 — A car driven by Autumn D. Perry 23, of Emlenton traveled into a ditch along Mahood Road in Clay Township. The car was pulled from the ditch by a passing motorist. No injuries were reported.7:09 a.m. Aug. 27 — A 16-year-old boy from Prospect was not injured after the car he was driving hit an embankment along Prospect Road, (Route 528), rolled onto its roof and slid 50 feet. The Prospect Volunteer Fire Department and Butler EMS also responded.11:09 Aug. 19 — A car driven by Samantha L. Brown, 29, of Apollo traveled off Freeport Road, (Route 356), came back on the road, spun 180 degrees, hit an embankment, rolled over and landed back on its wheels 25 feet off the road. She was taken to Butler Memorial Hospital with injuries. The East Butler and Herman volunteer fire departments responded to the accident. Her car was towed from the scene.6:56 p.m. Aug. 27 — Two brothers, ages 34 and 36, were cited for fighting with each other on Portman Road in Summit Township.4:55 p.m. Saturday — Cars driven by John A. Dreves, 27, of Zelienople and Jeffery L. Lawther, 52, of Ellwood City were involved in an accident on Route 19 at East Portersville Road. No injuries were reported. Dreves' car was disabled.12:47 p.m. Aug. 27 — A car driven by Robert J. Yokim, 82, of Slippery Rock struck Joseph J. Hockenberry, 54, of Renfrew, who was working as a flagger for Davey Tree Service on New Castle Road (Route 108) in Slippery Rock Township. Hockenberry was on the side of the road directing traffic around a utility work zone when the car hit him. He rolled about 20 feet after being hit. He was taken to Grove City Medical Center with injuries. The Slippery Rock Volunteer Fire Department and rescue team also responded to the accident.12 a.m. Saturday — Franklin C. Elliott, 21, of Butler was injured and had to be extricated from his car after hitting a tree on Euclid Road in Clay Township. He was taken to Butler Memorial Hospital for treatment. He car was towed from the scene.11:55 p.m. Aug. 28 — An unknown driver struck two mailboxes while traveling north on North Main Street (Route 68) in Chicora and didn't stop.11:30 p.m. Aug. 26 — Joseph Green, 56, of Butler was cited for harassment for allegedly shoving Lisa Brittain, 51, of Butler into a door during an altercation at 125 Dalmagro Road in Clearfield Township.3:49 p.m. Aug. 28 — A pickup truck driven by Jackson R. Patton, 22, of Hermitage struck an impact attenuator in a construction zone on Route 422 in Summit Township. No injuries were reported.Aug. 13 — A white chihuahua named Oreo owned by Crystal Bailey, 42, of Sharon was stolen from a home she owns at 1921 N. Main St. Extension in Center Township. The dog has three black spots near the tail.9:35 p.m. Aug. 18 — A 53-year-old Butler man was taken to Butler Memorial Hospital for a blood test under suspicion of driving under the influence after the car he was driving was involved in an accident in a construction zone on Route 422 in Summit Township.8:55 p.m. Aug. 26 — Cars driven by a 17-year-old male from Warren, Ohio, and Thomas C. Jageman, 71, of Finleyville were involved in a head-on collision at West Portersville Road (Route 488) and the I-79 north on-ramp in Muddy Creek Township. The 17-year-old and his passenger, Logan Daniels, 18, of Campbell, Ohio, were taken to Butler Memorial Hospital with minor injuries.6 p.m. Aug. 27 — A black plastic ammunition box containing 350 to 400 rounds of 9 mm ammunition and a Hightower Arms gun stock were stolen from an apartment at 302 Mitchell Hill Road in Summit Township. A newer, white Ford F-150 with a West Virginia registration plate was seen leaving the scene. Police ask anyone with information about the burglary to call Trooper Noah Neigh at 724-284-8100.7:30 Aug. 24 — A 19-year-old man from Emlenton was taken to Butler Memorial Hospital for a blood test under suspicion of driving under the influence following a traffic stop on East New Castle Road in Franklin Township. Drug and drug paraphernalia charges are pending against his passenger, an 18-year-old man from Butler.9:49 a.m. Aug. 16 — A car driven by George F. Bastin, 91, of Saxonburg struck a FedEx truck parked near 739 Winfield Road in Winfield Township. The truck's flashers were on while the driver was making a delivery.11:51 a.m. Aug. 16 — A pickup truck driven by Ryan N. Wilcox, 42, of Butler and a car driven by Amber M. Burk, 21, of Butler were involved in an accident at the intersection of I-79 and New Castle Road (Route 422) in Muddy Creek Township. No injuries were reported.9 a.m. Aug. 25 — Charges were filed against Anna Niederriter, 22, of Slippery Rock after she was allegedly found in possession of suspected marijuana, a smoking pipe containing suspected marijuana residue, and a grinder containing suspected marijuana residue following a traffic stop on McKain Lane and North Main Street in Center Township. She was a passenger in the car.9:49 Aug. 23 — A 41-year-old Evans City man was arrested for allegedly causing multiple injuries to a 41-year-old Evans City woman in a vehicle while they were driving home on Nursery Road in Forward Township.9:39 p.m. May 3 — A deer ran in front of a car driven by Shawn A. Barnhart, 42, of Butler on I-79 north in Cranberry Township and he struck the deer. He was not injured.12:17 a.m. Aug. 25 — A car driven by Amy J. Parson, 19, of Prospect overturned down an embankment on Kelly Road near Yellow Creek road in Muddy Creek Township. She was not injured, but was arrested for suspicion of driving under the influence. Her car was disabled.
